 New Environmental Approach to Treatment

With an ability to create strong chemical reactions with less chemical content, Sudoc is developing Neat as a solution that can clean our produced waters while lowering our chemical burden.

ABOUT

Our New Environmental Approach to Treatment has been shown to effectively remove micropollutants and a wide range of emerging contaminants from a variety of produced waste waters while minimizing life cycle cost.

TECHNOLOGY

Neat uses patent-protected NewTAML chemistry that was developed at Carnegie Mellon University to effectively oxidize persistent compounds at low treatment dosages, making it a fully scalable, bolt-on tertiary solution to any existing treatment train.

USE CASES

Neat has been shown to effectively oxidize a wide range of compounds including active pharmaceutical ingredients, textile dyes, phenols, trinitro aromatics and various bacteria.

*Per-and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) are currently beyond the capability of our NewTAML chemistry, but we are working on it for the future

Experiment with us on any of the following targets or contact us about your own ideas.

  • Rapid and complete degradataion of Tannic Acid using peracetic acid and NT7 as a model for removal of macro ogranics in aqeuous streams.

  • Successful lab scale degradation of pharamceutical micropollutants in municipal wastewater using low doses of NT7 and peroxide; including Trimethoprim, Triclosan, Diphenhydramine, Diclofenac and Sulfamethoxazole.

  • Full deactivation of the anthrax spore surrogate, Bacillus atrophaeus, within 15 minutes of exposure to NT7 precursor and hydrogen peroxide, demonstrating effective and rapid response to difficult challenges involving bacterium.

  • Initiation of polyaromatic hydrocarbon breakdown using NT7 precursor and peroxide for rural surface water remediation efforts.

  • Quick treatment response to legionella detection in open recirculating cooling towers using NT7 to improve the operational response time and effective containment and control of a potential outbreak.

  • Complete degradation of trinitroaromatic materials (TNT and TNB) within 1 hour after treatment with NT7 and hydrogen peroxide as a demonstration of a safe, aqeuous solution to handling persistent energetic materials.

  • Effective degradation of low dose Bisphenol A and tetramethyl, tetrachloro, and tetrabromo substituted derivates, using nM doses NT7 and mM doses of peroxide.

  • Removal of synthetic estrogen from inland surface water sample using NT7 and peroxide.

  • Increased degradation rate of acetonitrile under simulated process conditions when comparing NT7 catalysed treatment to that of a conventional strong oxidizer.

EXPERIMENT WITH US

Neat is a product of Sudoc, a company that was founded to commercialize NewTAML chemistry. Sudoc’s mission is to outperform toxic chemicals to remove them from our planet. Today, our produced waters are increasingly polluted with a wide range of difficult-to-treat compounds. Moreover, the chemicals we use in today’s treatment solutions also add to the chemical burden of our planet. With an ability to create strong chemical reactions with less chemical content, Sudoc is developing Neat as a solution that can clean our produced waters while lowering our chemical burden.
